Stoppard rumour
Last night after posting my review of "Revenge of the Sith", I came across the astonishing rumour that playwright Tom Stoppard was responsible for "polishing" the dialogue in George Lucas' new movie. You can see it reported here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tom_Stoppard.
If you're wondering why I'm shocked, I'm talking about one of the greatest living playwrights being responsible for dialogue like this:
“You’re so beautiful.”
“That’s only because I’m so in love.”
“No, it’s because I’m so in love with you.”
Hmmm. I'm aware Stoppard has done this sort of work in the past, and I can see how he would need the money, but I can also see why he might not have been too keen to see his name on the credits. I'm sure more news will follow.

What? Why wouldn't the author of Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead want to put his name to such cutting edge and witty dialogue between characters?!?!
