A little bit of multicultural Australia overheard on television last night.

A reporter was asking one of the thousands who were gathering in Federation Square to watch the crucial game against Croatia on the big screen at some ungodly hour of the morning. The fan was wearing a football jersey in half-Australian and half-Croatian colours.

INTERVIEWER: So who will you be supporting tomorrow, Croatia or Australia?

FAN: That's like asking "Who do you love more, your Mother or your Father?"
